One of Stephen Sondheim's masterpieces,
INTO THE WOODS, intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them further to explore the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. Into The Woods reimagines these familiar characters and intermingles their stories to create one grand amalgam of a cautionary tale. Sondheim weaves together Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and more, to become entangled in the same story. What happens to the consequences that traditional fairy tales conveniently ignore? What happens after 'Happily Ever After'?
