Auditioners must prepare:

1) Two contrasting songs- one from the list below and another either from the list or personal choice. Songs will be sung acapella (no background music), and must be a musical theatre song. No pop, Disney, or songs from Pippin please! Songs should preferably cut down to about a minute long; if you don’t cut down your song, you may be cut off by the prod team to accommodate time constraints.

2) A Minute to Impress: An MMT tradition, the famous Minute to Impress is an opportunity for you to impress the panel for (at most) 60 seconds. It can be anything at all: a magic trick, reciting the periodic table from memory, a backflip, an amusing story; as long as it showcases something unique about you! Be creative! (Psst- just don’t make a mess or put the panel in danger.)

Time Commitment : MMT rehearses every Sunday from about 10am-4, 6, or 8pm, October to February; you must be available to attend all or most of these rehearsals. Our tech week is during McMaster’s reading week (February 20th to 26th 2017) and we rehearse every day in that week from 10am-10pm. We do not rehearse during the Christmas holiday/exam season. The show will run for roughly 10 performances through the last week of February and first few weeks of March, most at 8pm and some at 2pm.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to email us at mmt.prodteam@gmail.com or message us on our Facebook page!
