Our production this year will be Into the Woods!
The MMT Executive Team acknowledges that musical theatre has a long history of excluding BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, and disabled voices. Musical theatre has also been a space that has contributed to the oppression of BIPOC communities, the 2SLGBTQ+ community, the disabled community, as well as religious and ethnic minorities. Therefore, we want to explore the art of musical theatre, and specifically the production of Into the Woods, through a lens of inclusivity. We want to create space for those who have not felt represented in musical theatre.
